Applications
It is a coagulant of slag and thermal insulation, which is applied in spoons of ferrous metals, after having been cast from the furnace. It avoids losses of heat and facilitates the cleaning of the slag, giving a metal free of impurities. Does not attack refractory oven. 0.05% is used with respect to the weight of the metal. When the metal is ready to be cast, the slag layer is removed.
